Road Trip Games
Long drive coming up? This is a whole glovebox of back-seat games in one page - 33 of them - so everybody in the car has something to do besides asking if you're there yet.
Playing it here is free. If you want to keep it, $2 or more through itch.io (card or PayPal) gets you the offline copy - it runs in any browser, no internet needed.
About the game
The Magnetic Travel Case has the board games you'd pack for a trip, minus the pieces sliding all over your lap. There's chess, checkers, four in a row, tic-tac-toe, flip discs, mancala, dots and boxes, Ramps & Potholes (snakes and ladders, basically) and Parking Lot Battle, which is battleship with cars and trucks, plus Snap Stones, Code Breaker, Peg Jump and Memory Match. You can play the computer on easy, medium or hard, or just pass it across the seat.
Trivia Time is family trivia with 20 categories and three levels each, 600 questions in all. Up to 8 people can play and everybody picks their own level, so a 6-year-old on Easy can actually beat Dad on Hard.
Story Time is a road trip edition of Story Shift-Ups, with 22 books and 220 fill-in-the-blank stories. Everybody in the car takes turns giving a word, and the finished story shows whose word was whose in their own color.
There's also a Little Deck of Cards with War, Go Fish, Crazy Eights and Higher or Lower, and Look Out the Window has the classic car games - License Plates (all 50 states plus DC, saved for the whole trip), Road Trip Bingo with a card for everybody, Alphabet Hunt, Color Cars and 90 conversation cards for when everybody just needs to talk.
Then there are the Pocket Toys, which are basically the cheap little toys from the gas station rack minus the batteries. There's a water ring toss with 5 levels where you pump the jets and tip the phone to land the rings, a pocket maze, a slide puzzle, Traffic Jam with 20 parking lots to get out of, a magnet sketch pad, a fortune ball, a paddle ball, Copy Cat and Flat Tire, a word guessing game.
Add everybody in the car once under "Who's in the car?" and every game knows their names and colors, and if nobody can decide, "Pick for me" spins through the games and chooses one for you!
